After getting in you gotta get out. I managed to escape the confines of the hotel to have a look around the island of Phuket. I found the local area to be a shadow of its former self and managed a run in with the police. So goes the day…

How to get off the tourist trail in Phuket, Thailand
It wasn’t exactly Mount Everest but it was one of those hills that look like they want to be climbed. On an island dominated by tourist infrastructure I managed to discover a really rewarding little side trip that made me feel like I was in the middle of nowhere.
The video below manages to make the track look level. Which it definitely wasn’t.
